Help Hubby Prepare Lesson Notes March 11, 2010

It’s confirmed now that hubby and I won’t be visiting my family during his one-week holidays. Oh, I haven’t seen them since the Black Friday and Cyber Monday holidays!

Sigh! Hubby wants to spend his whole week preparing the school lessons well. He always thinks his lesson preparation is not enough.

As for me, I think he prepares too much! What to do? He is a Virgo! You know, a Virgo is a perfectionist.

Luckily my flexible online business leaves plenty of time that I can fork out some time to help him with typing out the lesson notes.

Mutual Funds VS Gold Coins March 9, 2010

Thanks to my AKPK debt management program that I am able to save up some money.

With increasing savings in the bank, I am thinking of investing in mutual funds or gold coins.

I had luck with mutual funds before I was deeply in credit card debt, so it’s natural that I wanted to invest in mutual funds again. However, my blogging pal suggested otherwise.

According to her, she has been making way more money from golds than mutual funds these few years.

So, what do you think?

One-Week Holidays March 9, 2010

This hubby is still not sure if he wants to visit my family this holidays. I mean during his one-week holidays.

My plan is to go there on Saturday evening and come back on Monday night. There is a full day on Sunday that hubby can go shopping at the large shopping malls in the city.

Perhaps we should go on Sunday night and come back on Tuesday night. It’s better for hubby to have his shopping on Monday rather than Sunday to avoid crowds and traffic jams.

Pay Neighbor To Do Home Cleaning? March 6, 2010

Hubby didn’t bother to scold his sister anymore. No point scolding her if she purposely doesn’t want to do the home cleaning, right?

Instead of depending on her to do the cleaning and mopping, I had better do it myself whenever I am back to the old house.

Ya, it is very tiring to have to clean two houses!

Oh, yes, why didn’t I think of asking my neighbors who have recently lost their healthcare jobs whether they have a few hours for home cleaning once or twice a week?

If one of them is willing to do, phew, I can heave a relief for a while.

What A Lazy Sister-In-Law! March 6, 2010

MadI really don’t understand why my sister-in-law is so lazy now. She used to be very hardworking last time.

She always listened to my or hubby’s order whenever we needed her to do some home cleaning. She also took very good care of the things in the old house.

Now? Sigh. Another week went by and the old house was still dusty and messy when we went back last night.

Instead of waiting for her to clean the house, I did it myself. As for hubby, he tried to change the old Grohe faucet with a new one before he went out to have fun with his buddies at night.

I am very tired now after a few hours’ cleaning at the old house last night!

Gosh, Boxes, Floors & Windows Filled With Dust! February 24, 2010

My sister-in-law was scolded by hubby last Saturday. Why? She hadn’t done any home cleaning at all since hubby and I moved away from the old house!

Hubby paid her some money for home cleaning a few weeks ago and she promised hubby that she would do the cleaning.

When hubby saw the printed boxes filled with thick dust and the floors and windows were so dusty, he went mad and scolded his sister.

Well, she had better do some cleaning this week if she wants to sleep in the house. Yup, this sister-in-law sleeps in the old house too!

Setting Up An Online Store Selling Textbooks? February 24, 2010

Recently, I have been thinking of setting up an online store to sell textbooks.

The idea actually popped up last December when hubby’s students complained to him that they had trouble finding good and reasonable used textbooks.

Some were able to find the used textbooks, but they were either as expensive as the new books or the books were too old and torn.

So I am thinking of collecting as many used text books as possible before the school term ends and sells them to those students who come from poor or average income families.
