Save Up The Money As Emergency Funds May 26, 2009
Posted by Vedis The Home Lover in : Money Management , comments closedI managed to convince hubby to put off his plan of buying the 32-inch Panasonic LCD HDTV.
To be honest, it’s better to save up the money for rainy days. News about A-H1N1 deaths, fires, floods, storms, job losses and foreclosures really makes me want to save more money as emergency funds.
On top of those mentioned above, news about friends suffering from strokes, heart attacks, Mesothelioma cancer and other diseases also increases my will to keep the money in the pockets.

Do you know that 94% of consumers now use coupons to save money on groceries, household appliances and health and beauty items, according to a magazine survey?
These days, like a lot of folks, I’m using coupons to clip costs. I especially love to buy multiple copies of Sunday newspapers in order to maximize savings from groceries to appetite suppressants to cleaning products to personal care products.
Take note that new online coupons typically are loaded on the first day of each month.

Well, I was told by my neighbor who had shopped there this afternoon.
This store is really a rarity in this century! You are rewarded a $0.50 discount on your purchase for bringing your own container.

While sleeping cozily and safely on your sleep number bed, has it ever come to your mind that you can do something for troops overseas?
Do you know that you can make neck coolers for them? Neck coolers are filled with absorbent crystals that are wetted and then put on soldiers’ necks to keep them cool in high temperatures.
You can also make neck gaiters and blankets to send to troops overseas, primarily in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Come, do something to the soldiers to make their day a little more comfortable.

Hubby almost purchased the 32-inch Panasonic LCD HDTV online last night. Luckily I was around at that time.
I managed to stop him from making the purchase and persuaded him to go to a nearby store to see with his own eyes, feel and touch the TV screen with his own hands first.
If after a trip to the store he still feels that he wants that TV, then buy it online where there are plenty of tv deals that come with deep discounts.
Adam Lambert Is Not The American Idol! May 23, 2009
Posted by Vedis The Home Lover in : News & Updates , comments closedAs expected, Adam was not voted as the next American Idol.
Like Kris Allen said, “Adam deserves it”.
Adam should have been the American Idol because he was a more gifted and consistent performer.
To me, Adam Lambert is still the winner.

Poor blogging pal! She is stuck in the midst of the widespread of A-H1N1.
Should she go on with her wedding ceremony without any wedding dinner or just put off the whole wedding until the influenza is over?
As there have been confirmed cases in her area, her fiance even suggests to her to choose the engagement rings online to avoid infection.
Huh? Is it possible to find the perfect ring online? You know, if you can’t touch the ring, feel it or wear it to test it, how do you know it’s the right ring for you?
The Outbreak Of H1N1 Is Serious & Scary May 15, 2009

My sister had to cancel her trip to Outer Banks due to the widespread of H1N1. She thinks it’s better to keep her kids at home from now on.
According to the World Health Organization reports, there have been nearly 6,500 confirmed cases of swine influenza A-H1N1 including 65 deaths from 33 countries.
Although WHO says the disease has not yet become a pandemic, I think it’s serious and scary.
