Going ShoppingHubby and I are back to our home now.

I feel good to be back to my own home. But, it’s a fantastic stay at my uncle’s place and a wonderful gathering with my sisters.

Besides having meals with them these few days, I tagged along wherever they went. Going shopping, picking the kids, finding porcelain tiles for the kitchen, sending orders to customers, to name a few.

It’s my hope that I can see my family again very soon. What about next month?

Two Coffee Makers In An Office? August 24, 2009

Oh, I love my sister’s office so much. Not only is the Internet connection fast, the office chair is so comfortable.

I can also enjoy one cup of coffee after another cup; there are two coffee makers here!

Unbelievable, right? Two coffee makers?

Apparently, the extra one was gifted by her customer to thank my sister for her help when it came to making an insurance claim.

With my sister’s help, the customer was able to receive the money soon enough to pay her debt.

Thank God that I can get into the mood of writing home insurance articles and submitting articles to article directories even though I am at my sister’s office.

I guess it’s because it’s Monday morning that she and her staff are so busy answering phone calls, explaining to clients and doing paperwork.

What a shame that there is nothing I can do to help her! The only thing I can do is sit at the computer desk and do my online work without bringing trouble to her.

Before hubby went out with his buddy just now, he had warned me to stop doing my online work and rest more.

I know, I know, but, …

You see, I just woke up. How is it possible for me to sleep again? If I don’t do my online work or update my blogs, what should I do to pass my time?

Time drags if I am not online. But time flies if I compare free insurance quotes online or update my niche blogs with new fashion or stuff.

I will rest if I am really, really sick, okay?

HeadacheI am worried if I have A-H1N1.

This morning, I woke up with a headache. After eating a bowl of hot noodles, I popped a Panadol and went to sleep.

When I woke up an hour later, I felt okay. But it seemed that I started to have fever.

Yes, I am having fever now. I mean slight fever. I don’t feel tired or sick at all.

I am praying that the fever subsides soon.

Let Me Tell You Something About Second Chances August 12, 2009

Before I log off and go searching for some Ferrari parts in a junk store, there is something I want to tell you about second chances.

As I grow older, I am beginning to see how life is a cycle of second chances, where opportunities you’d thought you had lost or bungled, have a way of coming back to you.

By all means, seize the day, but know too, that it’s really the second shots to do almost the same thing again, only much better and with more wisdom this time. Letting go of it would be truly a cause for regret.

I’ve been seeing examples of second chances all around me lately. A friend who had a bitter divorce with her ex-husband over not being able to get pregnant, met, almost as soon as legal proceedings were over, the man who’s now her husband. Ironically, she got pregnant immediately, and has just given birth to a baby girl.

Car GrillAt last, hubby had his car’s grill guard changed on Friday.

He had wanted one of the grill guards that he had been eying for some time. But he was jobless at that time.

Now that he is a full time teacher, he has money to buy what he likes.

Since there was extra money left from his salary pay this month, he decided to spend the money on his car.

Of course, he had to forgo something instead of getting the grill guard. New clothes and shoes have to wait until the next pay check is here.
