Let Me Tell You Something About Second Chances
Before I log off and go searching for some Ferrari parts in a junk store, there is something I want to tell you about second chances.
As I grow older, I am beginning to see how life is a cycle of second chances, where opportunities you’d thought you had lost or bungled, have a way of coming back to you.
By all means, seize the day, but know too, that it’s really the second shots to do almost the same thing again, only much better and with more wisdom this time. Letting go of it would be truly a cause for regret.
I’ve been seeing examples of second chances all around me lately. A friend who had a bitter divorce with her ex-husband over not being able to get pregnant, met, almost as soon as legal proceedings were over, the man who’s now her husband. Ironically, she got pregnant immediately, and has just given birth to a baby girl.
