Do A Light Cleaning For The Living Room October 1, 2008

I am going to do a light cleaning for my living room after turning off the external hard drive.

Today is the first day I go back to giving tuition again. After resting for more than 9 months, I was finally persuaded to give tuition again to the neighboring kids.

On and off, their parents would drop by and check if I would teach again. Hearing how much their kids missed me and how bad their speaking and writing skills were, I decided to teach again, but at a part time basis.

As usual, I will use the quick 15 minute cleanup method that saves me time and energy.

Time To Declutter Your House & Control The Mess May 22, 2008

I think it’s time to declutter my house again. Whenever I can’t bear with the mess created by my hubby, I have to do the cleaning. Otherwise I will throw tantrums very often when catching the pile of magazines or cushions left in the corner of the living room accumulating dust.

If I don’t do the cleaning job, nobody will. I mean there are only hubby and me at home. He will only help me in mopping the floor or washing the bathroom once in a blue moon.

As usual I will do one task a day, like clearing the living room or wiping the cabinet knobs and windows.

If I can control my mess, I tend to feel calm within and am able to focus on writing reviews and managing my multiple niche blogs.

Here are tips for spring cleaning your living room:

1. Begin with a 15 minute living room cleanup. This will clear out the clutter and give you room to do the actual spring clean up. Don’t worry about cleaning the floors in the 15 minute clean up. We will do this later.

2. Dust down the ceiling and corners of walls. Determine if the walls need washed in dirty spots. Spot wash, remembering air vents, doorknobs, doors, and switch plates.

3. Dust and clean all art and photographs along the wall. Be careful when cleaning framed art and photographs. Never spray cleanser or water onto the frame. The liquid can seep behind the glass and damage the pictures. Instead lightly wet a clean cloth to wipe the frame and glass. (more…)
